ALLEGHANY COUNTY – The Monday, February 7, 2022, called meeting of the Alleghany County School Board has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns.

COVID cases have been confirmed among the school division’s central office staff. As a precaution, in-person staffing at the central office has been limited to contain the potential spread of the virus.

The safety and well-being of the school division’s students and employees remain a top priority during this pandemic.

Agenda items for the postponed February 7 meeting will be discussed at the board’s regular monthly meeting on Monday, February 21, 2022. That meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Jackson River Technical Center.
